Cheboygan County, Michigan

Cheboygan County is located in the northern part of the lower peninsula, south of the Straits of Mackinac that connect Lakes Michigan and Huron, and is traversed by I-75 and US-23. The county contains 720 square miles and is in the heart of tourist country. Thus, much of the economy depends on the service industry and retail trade. Several state parks and the Straits of Mackinac shoreline offer an abundance of outdoor recreation activities. Once a logging area, Cheboygan County also offers vast water resources.
