Kalkaska County, Michigan

The Kalkaska County area has an abundance of natural recreation opportunities. State forest land constitutes a majority of the area. Over 80 inland lakes, and 225 miles of streams and rivers provide activities for fishermen, campers, boaters, and canoeists. The population and labor force of Kalkaska County continues to grow. In 1995, the county population increased 8.88% over 1990.
