Leelanau County is located on the shores of Lake Michigan. Its lakes and miles of scenic rivers provide the county with access to canoeing, boating, and charter fishing. Leelanau County is also home to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the miles of unspoiled bluffs known as the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes which contribute to the natural beauty of the area.
