Old Mission, Michigan

Photo-Old Mission Light-001-640x480The oldest permanent settlement in the Grand Traverse Area, this picturesque village near the tip of the Old Mission peninsula was founded in 1839 by the Rev. Peter Dougherty as a mission to the native Indians. Today it is a resort area, reminiscent of a New England town, with several well-preserved churches, homes, stores and other 19th century buildings that are still in use. We specialize in serving wines made from 85% of grapes or other fruit grown on the peninsula—giving you a truly local experience! Our winery produces varietal wines of high character, acidity, and balance. Fruit is sourced from both our own vineyards and local grower partners. This diversity allows us to obtain consistent quality across vintages. Our wines reflect this care from the premium Arcturos, and Leorie Vineyard varietals to our sparkling, fruit, and ice wine. Many are award winners and all represent the best efforts of our skilled winemaking team.
